A caveat: This blog is under construction. And the whole “Paddle Like Hell” post below will likely be the longest I post here (but I’ve been known to change my mind – a million times in an hour) as I don’t have the time, energy or creativity to write essays on a regular basis (lucky for you readers!).
More than anything I just want to write – stories. Stories of the lives of me and the people I know. And therefore, as life is, will no doubt be at varying times boring, rich and then suddenly void of meaning, brief, comical, entertaining, ridiculous, and sometimes painful.
I don’t purpose to be doing anything that any one couldn’t be doing – or be doing more courageously or beautifully than I. I certainly don’t have the corner on the market of adventure and meaning (for that you should look here and here). But I do want to live an extraordinary life – one worthy of reading. And want others to do the same. Mostly importantly, I want to be held accountable for it when I’m stuck in the middle of the inlet and want nothing more than to slip out the side of the boat and disappear in to the deep dark sea.
